Congratulations AFSCME Council 17 LDH members and LDH employees - We have a Ratified a Bargaining Agreement. In an historic event yesterday AFSCME Council 17 LDH members from across Louisiana voted to ratify an agreement with the Louisiana Department of Health. The last time an LDH agreement went through a full and transparent ratification process it was almost ten years ago.
Shortly after the LDH bargaining team completed bargaining with LDH they began talking to their co workers and holding meetings and lunch and learns so LDH employees could learn about what benefits had been negotiated. Last night AFSCME Council 17 LDH employees ratified the contract in an overwhelming majority - 99% of our members voted for the contract.
